This gallery of calligraphic art shows some of the potential of “non-commercial” work. When time allows, I still enjoy doing some experimental work as it brings me back to my roots. Making marks and writing texts is where it all starts. The writing of texts and working with the abstract forms of letters supplies me with the most important design tool other than maybe drawing, for my formal work. Edward Johnston eloqently said: Our task is to simply make good letters and to arrange them well".
